Love food, celebrated chefs and dining out in Orange County? The Golden Foodie Awards season is right up your alley and it’s officially underway. The prestigious Golden Foodie Awards are being held at the Fairmont Newport Beach on Sunday, Sept. 30. This red carpet event will be akin to the Golden Globes for food. (Even the GFA statues will be made by the same people who make the Golden Globes statues.) Leading up to the Awards night gala, special foodie events at restaurants and venues will be celebrated throughout the county.
There are nearly 30 categories of awards that recognize culinary excellence including Best Mexican, Italian, Seafood, Sushi, Indian, and Vegetarian restaurant; Best Steak, Burger, Pizza, Taco, Dessert, Wine List and Beer Menu. Special award categories will honor, Excellence in Service, Best Chef, Pastry Chef, Happy Hour, Mixologist, Cocktail and the voting has begun for the prestigious Golden Foodie Award category for Best Food Truck in Orange County! Who is your favorite? You have until Saturday to vote.
